If you are looking for a hidden retreat nestled in the West of Scotland countryside, Amisfield tower is the place. A historical family estate with a Grade A listed Tower that housed King James VI of Scotland in the 16th Century. Set over 100 acres of Scottish Countryside with a historic full length dining table, 4 poster bed,log fires, a walled garden, games room, a tennis court in the grounds.The house represents an ideal location for a family getaway, business excursion or any history lovers.
The Amisfield Manor house can sleep 18 guests across 3 floors. You enter the house through front steps which lead you into the main hall. Off the hall is the drawing room benefitting from an open fire and a cosy window seat with stunning views over the front lawn. There is a bar area in the main hall with a fridge to keep drinks chilled. In the formal dining room we have table seating for up to 14 people with doors opening into the bright and airy kitchen which includes a 4 door aga oven and all the utensils required to rustle up a delicious dinner. The kitchen table can sit a further 12 people. There is a very cosy sitting room with a smart TV, board games, comfy sofas and open fire. We also have downstairs WC.
On the top floor there are 6 bedrooms including the main suite and 4 poster room as well as 3 bathrooms. The ground floor houses the games room with a snooker table and darts board. In the main ground floor living area there are four further guest bedrooms, wetroom and small galley kitchen and washing area. Outside you will also have use of "The Hut" with infra red heating and a wood burning stove and Bbq. The perfect spot for an evening drink in the sun or to cosy up in the winter. It also has extended Wifi so it doubles up as an ideal workspot for those in need of some quiet time. Extra additions such as clay pigeon shooting, private chefs and any other requests can be handled directly so please get in touch.
